Using activities in practice has a number of logistical implications. This training covers a wide range of topics related to the logistics of client care, operating outdoors, and equipment and transportation management. Sometimes we use staff, contractors or partners in the process of providing adventure therapy, too. We review considerations for getting everyone on the same page!

Target Audience

  • Mental health practitioners who use or want to begin using activity or adventure in their practice.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand administrative responsibilities for aspects of client care including hydration, nutrition, medication, and hygiene.
  • Gain knowledge of systems needed to manage logistics such as equipment and transportation.
  • Awareness of dynamics and responsibilities related to staff, contractors, and 3rd party partners.

Requirements

  • 2.0 hours of CCAT credit are offered upon completion of the full course and evaluation. Evaluations are completed as a lesson at the end of each course. Completion of the evaluation is required to be issued a certificate. The certificate will be available for download upon completion of the course and evaluation.
