Being intentional when selecting our methods for process experiences is a fundamental skill in adventure therapy practice. Throughout adventure therapy literature, multiple frameworks are introduced to enhance our efforts to support clients in making meaning about their experiences and achieving the growth they seek through their work with us. Learning Objectives

  • Understand the role of matching interventions in adventure therapy.
  • Know how to select activities and processing approaches with clinical intent.
  • Use a framework for customizing activities based on case conceptualization and assessment of client needs.


  • 1.5 hours of CCAT credit are offered upon completion of the full course and evaluation. Evaluations are completed as a lesson at the end of each course. Completion of the evaluation is required to be issued a certificate. The certificate will be available for download upon marking each lesson complete, completion of the evaluation, then marking the course complete.
